MI & Support Analyst (Insurance Ancillary Products)

Reporting into the Commercial Performance Manager you will work closely together to drive commercial performance, implementing strategic and tactical initiatives to deliver and exceed financial targets across our portfolio of Insurance Ancillary Products such as Home Emergency and Motor Breakdown. Responsible for creating and analysing MI, you will make recommendations based on the insights gained in order to improve business performance. You will then work with the Commercial Performance Manager and the wider business to deliver your recommendations. In addition, you will be accountable for day to day interactions with our 3rd party suppliers ensuring the smooth operation of the accounts and delivering positive customer outcomes.

How you will make a difference

  • Generate MI and data queries using Cognos and SQL based reporting tools
  • Analyse MI (internal and external) and track KPIs to identify risk and opportunities and assist the Commercial Performance Managers in developing strategies to address
  • Assist the Commercial Performance Managers with developing business cases to enable business or operational change
  • Assist Commercial Performance Managers in budget and reforecast planning
  • To be accountable for the timely and accurate delivery of daily, weekly and monthly MI
  • Support the Product Managers with required data to support the ‘Product Review’ process including Value Assessments and Conduct MI reporting for ancillary and core products
  • Provide support in production of commercial presentations
  • To run commercial projects and lead on initiatives as directed by the Commercial Performance Managers on time and to budget
  • Identification and plugging of MI gaps and development of new MI where new products and processes require
  • Support the commercial relationship management of the Ancillary partners by tracking performance against contracts; SLA’s and the resolution of operational issues
  • Ensure that you are meeting customers’ fair and reasonable expectations and provide fair outcomes.
  • Question and challenge peers and managers where processes and procedures do not meet expectations and any activity that does not place customers’ interests at the heart of how we do business
  • Ensure completion of all training as mandated by the company and regulated by the FCA
  • Ensure that direct reports and self, achieve and demonstrate levels of competence required to fulfil job requirements
