Leeds IAPT consists of 4 partners, Leeds Community Healthcare, Touchstone, Northpoint and Community Links. Together we have delivered the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) programme in Leeds since 2009. The current remit of Touchstone IAPT within the consortium is to improve access to psychological therapies for Black and Minority Ethnic communities across Leeds.
The role will involve having a caseload of clients with a range of mental health problems and supporting therapists to deliver one- to- one brief interventions. The successful candidate will deliver drop in’s across Leeds and carry out ‘triage assessments’ to identify if the service is appropriate and deliver both workshops and non-structured group interventions. A key focus for the role is to deliver active ‘in- reach’ into communities that are at higher risk of poorer mental health and address barriers in engagement to ensure inclusivity for people who may otherwise find groups hard to access and remain within the service.
The role will involve working across multiple sites across Leeds and will involve some travelling between sites. This will be a joint recruitment exercise with Community Links. Successful applicants will be employed by Touchstone or Community Links.
For Touchstone posts, the post holder will be based within the Touchstone IAPT team currently consisting of; 10 CBT Therapists, 1 Trainee CBT Therapist, 1 Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner, 2 Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners, 3 Employment Advisors, 2 Trainee PWP’s, 1 Administrator, a Team Manager and a Deputy Manager.
There will be an opportunity for applicants to meet staff and discuss the roles during a 2 hour drop in session on the 18th October from 8.30 am to 10.30 am at Touchstone House. Telephone enquiries can be made to Colin O’Loan or Simone Stephenson-Bellwood on 0113 2718277.

Touchstone is an equal opportunities organisation and applications are welcome from all sections of the community, particularly LGBT communities and/or people with disabilities who are under-represented within Touchstone. We also recognise that BAME communities are under-represented in the Leeds IAPT workforce. We are therefore especially keen to receive applications from under- represented communities. This is a core part of our service vision and values, as we strive to reflect the communities that we serve.
