We’re searching for people to join the business on an Underwriting Apprenticeship in our Peterborough teams. This is a 2-year apprenticeship programme where you’ll work towards a Level 3 Senior Financial Services Customer Advisor which is CERT CII.

To be considered for this Apprenticeship you’ll need to have or are predicated A Level grades of A*-C in 3 subjects.

You’ll be working in our Underwriting team in Peterborough with just under 50 employees in team, covering a variety of underwriting processes. We moved into the office 3 years ago which was actually designed by a member of the team! The office is also within walkable distance to a shopping centre with a fantastic choice of food to eat.

What you’ll be doing

This Apprenticeship is all about providing an analytical and underwriting insight to inform on wider business and strategy decisions and we’ll support you through it!

You’ll learn all about our underwriting systems and processes, as well as developing a knowledge of the insurance industry. We’ll develop your skills, so you can start analysing underwriting performance and build your confidence, so you can feed this back to the business. You really do have to have a high attention to detail in this role as well as enjoy completing projects and being dedicated in your own work. This is an exciting apprenticeship to really kick start a career in insurance

What we’ll give you

You’ll be working 35 hours a week and earning a starting salary of £16,380. Plus, if you can show us you are performing well, you can qualify for a bonus of up to £500 in year 1 and then £750 in year 2.
