Do you hold a management related qualification/s or training? Do you hold a relevant degree or professional qualification (NVQ level 4 minimum) in a related field (e.g. Management, Health Care, Social Work, equivalent overseas qualification)?
Do you have experience of operational management and leadership, including line management, workforce development reporting and governance? Do you have experience of working as part of a management team, taking collective responsibility for meeting service or organisational objectives? Do you have experience of leading on specific areas of service or business development within a business, health, social care, or justice setting?
Do you have knowledge and understanding of management practice in relation to performance management and the delivery of high quality and responsive services? Do you have the ability to manage and understand financial, resource, and risk implications when planning and developing services? Do you have knowledge of strengths based approaches (recovery, personalisation, or desistance) and an understanding of the role of individuals and communities in supporting these?
Do you have passion for the recovery options available for people and prepared to support systemic challenge? Do you have effective time management? Do you have willingness to work in a flexible way including evening and weekend work throughout North Yorkshire?

About the job
An important part of this role is to hold strategic leadership, transformation, and line management support across the Recovery and Mentoring team within North Yorkshire Horizons.
It will be important as a Service Manager that you ensure that the Service’s key functions (throughput of Service User’s in to aftercare, delivery of a recovery community across North Yorkshire, fully integrated Peer Mentors across the team and continued promotion of service across the county) are fully integrated, flexible, effective and provided to a high standard. In your role you will be supported to take a lead role in promoting, developing and integrating the Service within the local community, health and social care agendas and with key stakeholders.
As a motivational manager it will be important to develop the team to build a dynamic, creative and open space to develop a workforce with a culture of reflective practice and development.
It will be important to have a strong and open relationship with our clinical partner within the Service and to support the process so that delivery is in line with all local and national legislation and guidance.
The overall view is to embed a strengths-based, recovery-orientated, change and outcomes focused approach, based on personalisation, responsibility, co-production, community development, and partnerships.
