District Reporter (Wirral)

The Liverpool Echo has been part of the fabric of Merseyside life for more than 140 years. During that time we’ve fought passionately for our communities, campaigned against injustice, held authorities to account and told the stories of our region’s remarkable people. The Echo is now recruiting a district reporter to give a voice to people living in the diverse borough of Wirral – home to affluent seaside towns and beautiful beaches but also some of the most deprived wards in the country. We are looking for creative candidates as comfortable out on the scene reporting on the latest breaking news as they are spending time off-diary working on an investigation that matters to our readers.
We’re also keen to hear from people who feel they are under-represented in local journalism – reporters with fresh ideas and new perspectives and from a wide range of backgrounds.

We are Reach plc, you might not have heard of us but we have probably met without you even realising it. We are home to the UK and Ireland’s most iconic digital platforms, magazines and newspapers. We help all kinds of people share experiences through our stories because we believe this is what makes us human. Oh, and we should probably also mention that with a monthly readership of 47 million people, Reach is the largest commercial publisher in the UK.
