About the area you’ll be working in…
Do you want to be part of our long-term plans? As the Data Insight Manager, you will be an integral part of Bupa Actuary team, providing front-line support to our Technical Chief Actuary. You will business partner with a variety of senior stakeholders across Bupa Pricing, Finance and Health teams.
What you’ll be doing…
You will own the overall data process to support Bupa Actuary department. You will manage a Data Analyst and lead project teams as required. You will be required to work in our Staines office 2 days per week.
What’s a typical day?
Developing the overall data process required to support the actuarial function activities (incl Reserving, Planning, Pricing and Reporting).
Developing associated SAS/SQL codes.
Identifying trends in our insurance data using a range of statistical models and software (e.g. SAS, R, Python).
Communicating insights to the wider business to drive strategy
Presenting data using appropriate visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau)
Who we’re looking for?
Strong mathematical/analytical skills.
Experience in building or managing the end-to-end data process in previous roles.
Experience in a range of software. (SAS, SQL, R, Python, PowerBI, Tableau
Experience in data science and machine learning techniques.
A track record of achieving and exceeding productivity and quality targets.
Good interpersonal, communication and analytical skills are required with emphasis on achieving results and successful outcomes in an efficient manner.
