Continuing with the execution of a highly customer focused strategy, we have created the role of a Customer Insight Analyst to sit within the Customer Insight Team. This role will be focused on providing actionable insights from analysing the vastness of data generated by the Reach network across its various products but also supplemented by external datasets. Reporting into our Customer Insights Manager this role will be working primarily with our customer marketing, customer value, CRM, editorial and sales teams.

Key Responsibilities

We are at an exciting stage where we are in a unique position to help shape the customer analytics environment with input from brand, marketing, CRM, data engineering, finance and also executive leadership in order to generate timely and impactful customer insight. So the responsibilities of this role are broad:

  • Developing key metrics that provide diagnostics to the wider business on the health of customer base particularly in regards to acquisition, retention, reactivation etc.
  • Developing business cases that incorporate the financial benefit of various customer behaviours and the potential return on investment from various initiatives and new products. A significant part of this process involves developing methodologies to calculate Average Revenue Per User (ARPU), and Lifetime Value (LTV)
  • Building customer profiles, segmentations and behaviour predicting models to plug into our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) function
    Inform the development of our product portfolio through insights on usage, adoption, engagement, loyalty and to quantify the value of various touchpoints
  • Socialising the value of the customer through the development of user friendly visualisations, dashboards and presentations for non-technical audiences
  • Measuring the effectiveness of campaign activity and cross-channel marketing initiatives to provide customer level insights for future targeting efforts
The Ideal Candidate

  • An academic background in a numerate subject such as statistics, mathematics, economics or similar
  • Familiarity with one or more coding languages such as R, Python, SAS, SQL
  • Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, QlikView
  • High proficiency in MS Office packages such MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • An inherent curiosity for understanding drivers of customer behaviours
  • You will be able to respond to business needs by identifying appropriate statistical methodologies and presenting insight for decision making
  • Excellent communication skills and will be able to present findings to senior stakeholders

Ideally, you will also have:

  • High proficiency in Google BigQuery
  • Experience in a customer insight role within a digital media related environment
