Change Practitioner

NATS is the UK’s leading air navigation service provider, handling over 2 million flights each year. It provides air traffic control services from two control centres supporting airports all around the UK, as well as a wide range of commercial solutions to over 30 countries internationally.

Job Purpose:

As a Change Practitioner, you will be supporting the planning, development and delivery of project level change management activity.

If you do not have all the experience or qualifications, we are looking for but have played a role in delivering part of a change, such as a Training Lead or a Comms & Engagement Lead, please do apply. We are looking for someone who is genuinely excited about the role, has a willingness to learn and who is looking for a career opportunity in Change Management.

Duties include:

  • Identify impacted stakeholders and support key employee-facing roles in managing the people side of change implementation.
  • Develop a change management plan, track, and report on progress, escalate risks and issues relating to the adoption and use of the change(s) and make recommendations to the project manager.
  • Diagnose readiness for change adoption; collect and analyse change management data, make recommendations regarding the readiness of the impacted team(s) to the project manager and Business Change Manager.
  • Work closely with the nominated communications lead on specific projects to align communications and engagement activities.
  • Ensure change management activity is appropriately aligned and integrated to the project management plan, key milestones, deliverables, risk log and reporting.
  • Actively contribute to the on-going improvement of capability, reporting, knowledge sharing, upskilling and cross departmental/project working.
  • Collaborate between the local Change Hub and the central Benefits & Business Change Centre of Excellence team
  • Take personal responsibility for continuous development of change management skills and capability.
  • Provide support to Change Managers to ensure change management duties, not specifically project related, are achieved.
  • Support the benefits realisation post project closure.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Able to articulate a good understanding of change management theory, tools, and skills and an ability to apply them.
  • Experience in designing and facilitating effective group workshops.
  • Builds trust and influence across a range of stakeholders.
  • Confident in developing effective working relationships with programme and project teams, subject matter experts, peers, and senior colleagues across the business.
  • Can communicate confidently and clearly both in writing and verbally.
