Programme overview:

As an Actuarial Graduate, you will have the opportunity to apply innovative predictive modelling techniques to solve real-world business challenges and deliver commercial value. You’ll work closely with and learn from recognised experts in designing and implementing market leading insurance solutions across multiple product lines.

Our teams are passionate about data, modelling and innovation and this role will give you the opportunity to work alongside talented analytical experts and senior leaders. They will support, guide, and push you beyond your comfort zone to help forge your career in this highly competitive skill set and industry.   

Over a period of two years, you will complete placements in Underwriting and Pricing to build knowledge, technical skills and understanding of these departments ready to secure an Actuarial Trainee role by the end of the scheme.

The placements could be within the following:

  • Underwriting – Actuarial & Data Science
  • Underwriting – Risk Pricing
  • Underwriting – Account Management
  • Retail Pricing – Core & Deployment
  • Retail Pricing – Development & Analytics
  • Retail Pricing – Data Science & Engineering

We will also provide full funding and support to gain the IFoA (Institute and Faculty of Actuaries) Associate & Fellowship qualifications and become a well-rounded actuarial professional. Graduates are expected to qualify as an Associate within a two-to-three-year period.

What we’d love you to have:

  • A university degree, completed in the last 2 years, which has had a strong emphasis on statistics and problem solving such as Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Sciences etc
  • Strong mathematical capabilities including probability and statistics.
  • A keen interest in predictive modelling and programming.
  • Ability to apply theory to real world problems.
  • Self-aware – you are clear on your strengths and development areas.
  • An inquisitive nature.
  • Able to challenge the norm, consider a range of views and drive and embed change
  • Very good communication skills; experience presenting results to others.
  • Excellent skills in logic and problem-solving.
  • Prepared for 3-6 years of ongoing actuarial study & exams – during and outside of office hours

What we’ll do:

  • 12th Feb 2024 Application close date
  • 14th – 21st Feb If successful in shortlisting, we will send you a link to complete psychometric testing via Test Partnership
  • 25th Feb – 1st March Candidates who have successfully passed the testing stage will then be invited to interview with us in the London office
