Accrington and Rossendale Editor

We’re looking for a talented Journalist or Reporter to join us on one of the country’s fastest growing local news brands. As part of our ambitious future plans for Lancs Live, we have created the role of Accrington and Rossendale Editor.

You will be finding, writing and editing news stories for new daily newsletters which will be essential reading for local audiences. Your role will play a key role in audience growth across email and platforms for logged-in users in Lancashire.

We’d like to hear from candidates with excellent content writing experience, superb digital publishing skills, a passion for storytelling with excellent prioritisation and time-management skills.

This is a role that would suit an experienced Journalist or Reporter but that isn’t essential – if you’re looking to move into journalism, but have a background in marketing and a knowledge of newsletters this might be the job for you.

This role will be home based but you would be expected to build the profile of the newsletters by regularly attending events, establishing contacts and reporting on the ground in the Rossendale and Accrington area.
