What you’ll be doing
You will provide an escalation path for the 2nd Line Analysts and to investigate / resolve complex issues covering the hospital computing Infrastructure including liaising with vendors in supporting applications. You will also be providing technical resource to Hospital Projects. You will actively manage patch management cycle for all systems including network devices, where appropriate liaise with business and 3rd parties and help provide hands-on technical infrastructure configuration support across the IT landscape, hardware patching and vulnerability management.
What’s a typical day?
You will actively participate in team and department meetings to drive continuous improvement and improve business satisfaction and help to troubleshoot servers physical and virtual and also related hardware and software in order to deliver required infrastructure service levels. You’ll work on Projects as required, supporting the PM in the Project delivery; build deployment, including providing technical advice. You’ll be underlining system monitoring, configuration and administration including AD updates; GPO, System Exchange mailbox configuration and management; administration; virtual builds, printing and scanning issues and other remote devices or connectivity issues; ; O365 admin; AD forest & group policy admin; Vmware issues. If necessary, liaise with third-party support. You will need to keep up to date with changing and emerging technologies and perform onsite analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex desktop problems for end users, recommend and implement corrective solutions, including offsite problem resolution for remote users as needed.
Who we’re looking for?
- Excellent technical knowledge of Microsoft technologies, Server OS, AD, DNS, DHCP, IIS, WSUS etc
- Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience.
- Working technical knowledge of current protocols, operating systems, and standards, Active Directory skills, Cloud technology.
- Experience of Security Monitoring tools.
- Experience of Vulnerability Management and Threat Intelligence.
- Knowledge of perimeter and host security intrusion techniques.
- Able to read and understand technical manuals& procedural documentation
- Knowledge of backup tools , Backup exec, Veeam and devices Exagrid
- Working knowledge of virtual environment (Vmware and Citrix)
- Working knowledge of VOIP telephony
