Transactional Workforce Administrator – Resourcing 24 views

#JoinUsBeYou.

We are one of the best mental health trusts to work for; and that’s  a fact, according to our staff in the NHS staff survey and we were rated the best in the North West in 2023 and 2024.

We have recently been rated “good” for well-led by the CQC.

We are proud to provide high quality mental health and learning disability services, both inpatient and in the community across five boroughs of Greater Manchester – Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, Stockport and Tameside and Glossop.

Our vision is for a happier and more hopeful life for everyone in our communities and our staff work hard to deliver the very best care for the people who use our services. We’re really proud of our #PennineCarePeople and do everything we can to make sure we are a great place to work.

All individuals regardless of race, age, disability, ethnicity, nationality, gender, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, religion or belief, marriage and civil partnership are encouraged to apply for this post. We would also encourage applications from individuals with a lived experience of mental illness, either individually or as a carer, especially from within our Trust footprint areas.

The Important Stuff About the Role

If you’re someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service, we’d love to hear from you.

Working within our Resourcing Team, you’ll play a vital role in helping Pennine Care attract, recruit and retain talented people who make a difference to the lives of our service users every day. You’ll be joining a friendly and supportive award winning  team where no two days are the same, and where your contribution will have a direct impact on both staff and patient experience.

We’re looking for someone who is organised, adaptable and motivated to continuously improve. You’ll be comfortable managing competing priorities, building positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, and working accurately in a busy environment where attention to detail is essential.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your knowledge and experience across recruitment, temporary staffing, workforce administration and NHS systems. Full training and support will be provided, making it a great opportunity for someone looking to build a career in HR, recruitment or workforce services.

The job in more detail

Did we mention that you’ll be joining a really friendly and supportive team?

As part of the Recruitment and Temporary Staffing Team (who are a friendly bunch!), you will support the delivery of a professional, efficient and integrated service across the Trust.

You will provide end-to-end administrative support for recruitment activities, helping managers recruit talented people into a wide range of roles while ensuring candidates receive a positive experience throughout their journey with Pennine Care.

You will also support the Trust’s temporary staffing service, helping services access the workforce they need to deliver safe, high-quality care. This includes supporting the booking and management of bank and agency staffing in line with Trust procedures and relevant legislation.

The role requires an understanding of NHS Employment Check Standards, DBS requirements and associated employment legislation, alongside a commitment to maintaining accurate records and high levels of compliance.

Customer service is at the heart of everything we do. You’ll be expected to provide a friendly, professional and responsive service, aiming to resolve queries quickly and effectively. You’ll understand that every interaction contributes to a positive staff experience and, ultimately, better care for our service users.

For many candidates, you’ll be their first interaction with Pennine Care. As an ambassador for the Trust, you’ll help create a welcoming and positive impression, demonstrating our values of Kindness, Fairness, Ingenuity and Determination from the very start of their journey with us.

As part of the selection process, shortlisted candidates may be asked to complete practical exercises, such as data interpretation, reporting or work-based scenarios.

Please note that this vacancy may close early if we receive a high volume of applications.

When you’re ready to apply

When completing your application form, please refer carefully to the essential criteria listed in the Person Specification. To give yourself the best opportunity of being shortlisted, you should provide clear examples that demonstrate how you meet the required skills, knowledge and experience for the role.

Where possible, use specific examples from your work, education, training or voluntary experience to evidence how you meet the criteria. Applications that clearly demonstrate the essential requirements are more likely to progress to the next stage of the recruitment process.
