An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Facilities Management department in a role which will be based between Headquarters and home/agile working. The post holder will be expected to work from the office at Headquarters 3 days each week.
The role will involve liaising directly with contractors, evaluating and processing repair requests and keeping the system updated via fresh service and oracle. You will be involved with maintenance contracts, tendering of works, monitoring performance and the updating of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s). You will aid the Facilities Co-Ordinator when necessary.
Responsibilities
- successfully build and maintain effective relationships with contractors and service users
- communicate effectively either orally, in writing or using available technology
- be the main point of contact for contractors and suppliers, liaising with them effectively on a wide range of issues.
- interpret instructions, deal effectively with issues arising and implement actions according to organisational policies and procedures
- deal with general enquiries into the section giving advice where appropriate
- manage, organise and update relevant information using data based applications
Experience and skills
Essential skills or experience
- understanding of building maintenance and works contracts
- ability to muti task, prioritise and work under pressure
- ability to write orders for contractors
- experience of liaising with directly with contractors
- experience of monitoring and investigating key performance indicators
- experience of checking invoices to purchase orders
- proactive approach to problem solving
- computer literacy
familiarity with budgets and invoicing
