This is an exciting opportunity to lead nursing and clinical services in a purpose-built Specialist Diagnostics & Dental Centre. Featuring state-of-the-art facilities including MRI, CT, X-ray, and mammography, the centre will deliver a wide range of outpatient and diagnostic services across multiple specialities.

As Clinical Unit Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in establishing and embedding clinical services, creating pathways and processes that deliver outstanding patient care and experience. You’ll be a visible leader, driving clinical excellence, governance, and innovation while supporting the seamless transition of patients across care pathways within Bupa’s London network.

How you’ll help us make health happen

  • Lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of care pathways and clinical service delivery models.
  • Ensure safe staffing levels and skill mix, maintaining competence across nursing teams.
  • Drive quality assurance programmes and manage clinical audits to improve patient care.
  • Provide strong, visible leadership and act as a role model for inclusive culture and clinical excellence.
  • Oversee operational delivery, resource utilisation, and financial management within budgetary expectations.
  • Manage complaints, incidents, and embed learning to continuously improve care standards.
  • Support recruitment, retention, and development of a highly engaged nursing team.
  • Collaborate with consultants and multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient pathways and experience.
  • Deputise for the Centre General Manager as required.

Key Skills / Qualifications

Essential:

  • Registered Nurse (Adult) with live NMC registration.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional education.
  • Teaching/assessing qualification.
  • Management qualification or working towards one.
  • Significant experience in a senior nursing role within Outpatient/Diagnostic settings.
  • Experience leading new service implementation and managing clinical audits.
  • Strong knowledge of NMC Codes, governance, and resource management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and financial awareness.

Desirable:

  • Diploma in Management Studies or equivalent.
  • Safe sedation training.
  • Experience in radiology nursing, theatres/anaesthetics, or research and development.
